Spartannn began trading in Autumn 2023 in a back room of the Lions Amateur Boxing Club in Brierley Hill, in the Black Country.
Founder, Dr Emily Barney, has a big vision for the company over the next 30 years and plans to grow the business into a nationwide chain, known for its consistent effectiveness, ease of access, affordability and focus on quality.
Previously a Clinical Psychologist turned business women and entrepreneur, Emily has a special interest in men’s mental health and reducing male suicide rates.
With 10 years’ experience as a qualified clinician, Emily has spent the last several years specifically testing the method and techniques used in Spartannn with prisoners, police officers and army veterans.
Emily is the lead Mental Fitness Personal Trainer (MPFT) at Spartannn, with plans to grow the workforce over the next several years to meet the demand.

Not everyone wants to talk about their problems and feelings and it is often even harder for men to do this.
Traditional talking therapy isn’t for everyone. Up until now, there are limited scientific options available for men who want help to sort their heads out but don’t want to see a therapist or talk about their problems.
